Sampsonian Demands Clarification from Torosyan Regarding the Situation Among Employees of Gyumri's School No. 29
According to the media, 65 employees of Gyumri's School No. 29 have been tested, and 8 have received positive results for COVID-19. Ani Sampsonian, a member of the National Assembly from the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction, announced this on her Facebook page.
"Three of the employees immediately decided to take a retest at a branch of one of the laboratories operating in the capital at the Gyumri Medical Center, and the results of the retest were negative within a day. However, the employees have been informed that the commandant's office relies on the results of the first test and they are compelled to self-isolate. I have requested clarification from Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan regarding the situation," she wrote.
It is worth mentioning that earlier reports indicated that as a result of mandatory testing of teachers at Gyumri's School No. 29, coronavirus had been detected in 8 employees. However, just one day later when three of the educators underwent retesting at another medical institution, the results were negative. The educators have been advised to quarantine.
