Mandatory Mask-Wearing Requirement in Effect

In light of the quarantine, wearing masks is mandatory. This was stated by Mané Gevorgyan, the press secretary of the Prime Minister of Armenia, in an interview with Auroranews, emphasizing that the requirements for maintaining social distance and sanitation established during the state of emergency will also remain in effect for the time being.

From now on, however, decisions regarding the coronavirus will be made by the Ministry of Health instead of the previously existing commandant's office. The commandant's office is no longer in operation as of today.

If there was a commandant's office before, the situation will now be regulated by decisions from the Minister of Health.

We remind you that according to the government's decision today, a quarantine has been established in Armenia from 5 PM today until January 11, 2021.
