Gurgen Arsenyan's Son Arrested on Suspicion of Armed Robbery

On September 9, 2020, the housekeeper of former National Assembly member Gurgen Arsenyan reported that on the same day at 09:30, Gurgen Arsenyan's son entered the kitchen of the private house located on Arabkir Street 38 in Yerevan. He approached her and, wielding two kitchen knives as weapons, threatened her with violence dangerous to her life and health, demanding and receiving 20,000 AMD.

A criminal case has been initiated by the Yerevan City Division of the Armenian Police under Article 175 (robbery) of the Armenian Criminal Code, which has been forwarded to the Arabkir Investigative Division of the Investigative Committee of Armenia for further investigation. During the investigation, several investigative actions have been conducted, including a search of the crime scene, where the aforementioned knives were discovered and seized.

On September 9, 2020, Gurgen Arsenyan, born in 1995, was arrested on suspicion of committing an armed robbery. The investigation is ongoing.
