We Hope They Will Be Used Exclusively for Maternity Purposes: 10 Ford Vehicles Donated to Artsakh
The government made a decision during its meeting today, September 10, to take back and donate three ambulances and seven standard vehicles registered in the inventory of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, equipped with medical equipment and supplies (with an inventory value of 295.8 million drams), to the Republic of Artsakh under the condition of targeted use.
The justification for the decision states that the project's objective is to take back and donate a total of 10 Ford Transit DLQ5030XJHA vehicles acquired in 2020 to the Republic of Artsakh.
The aim of this initiative is to support the daily operations of the emergency medical services in the healthcare system of Artsakh and to enhance the quality and accessibility of these services.
Among the donated vehicles, three are ambulances equipped with nine essential medical devices and a first aid kit, which in turn is stocked with necessary supplies for providing immediate medical assistance to patients. The other seven vehicles are standard cars, also equipped with six necessary medical devices and a first aid kit.
This project has been developed within the framework of cooperation and support with the Republic of Artsakh.
The ten emergency medical aid vehicles to be donated are highly maneuverable and optimally adapted to the mountainous terrain of the Republic of Artsakh.
By adopting this project, it is expected to improve the quality and accessibility of medical aid and services provided to the population of Artsakh and to strengthen the material and technical resources of the healthcare system there.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed hope that these vehicles would not be used widely in Artsakh, but only for maternity purposes.
