This dough will still bring a lot of water. Prime Minister on the second wave of coronavirus
Today, during the regular cabinet meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinian announced that the Republic of Armenia currently has not imposed any special restrictions on the citizens of any country with its regulations. “Sampling points are being constructed at the airport. There will be around 20 of them, and the citizens who wish to undergo sampling on-site will have that opportunity right at the airport,” he said.
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan also stated that the issue has already been officially raised in the EAEU to establish a scenario for restoring a unified rule for passenger transportation. “There are no regular passenger transportation rules in the CIS or the EAEU, with one exception—the land route between Russia and Belarus, which is open for other reasons. However, I believe that EAEU partners are ready for discussion, and we will be able to establish a unified rule that will operate symmetrically for all EAEU countries,” Grigoryan noted.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that teachers are undergoing widespread testing. “We want to open the schools and not close them,” he stated, emphasizing that maximum adherence to the rules must be maintained to avoid a scenario where schools are opened only to be forced to close again.
“Our experience has shown that, unfortunately, asking, pleading, and begging does not work. We have been asking, pleading, and begging every day for a long time, but when that does not work, administrative measures must be applied,” he commented.
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan added that the threat of the second wave of coronavirus is still hanging in the air. The Prime Minister further remarked: “The threat of the second wave is not just lingering; it is in many European countries, some of which announced four months ago that they had overcome it and are now returning to widespread quarantine mode. Thus, this dough will still bring a lot of water, and I think it is too early to draw conclusions from the stories related to the coronavirus.”
