Macron Declares Turkey No Longer a Partner in the Eastern Mediterranean

French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that Turkey is no longer considered a partner in the Eastern Mediterranean, according to 'RIA Novosti'.

He emphasized that the voice of Europe regarding Ankara must be "more unified and clear".

"It is clear that Turkey is no longer our partner in that region," Macron said.

He pointed out that Turkey has signed an agreement with the Libyan Government of National Accord that contradicts Greece's legal rights. Macron also deemed Turkey's drilling activities in the Cypriot exclusive economic zone unacceptable.

"We Europeans must express a clear and firm stance, not against the Turkish people, but against Erdoğan's government, whose behavior is unacceptable," Macron added.
