Kremlin Comments on Pompeo's Statement Regarding Navalny Situation

The Kremlin considers the statement regarding the involvement of Russian officials in the situation surrounding Alexei Navalny to be unacceptable. This was announced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“We have heard U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's statement. I reiterate that we are interested in a swift clarification of the situation. We consider the accusations and distortion of reality to be unacceptable,” he said.

Earlier, in an interview with American journalist Ben Shapiro, Pompeo stated that “when people see that attempts are being made to poison dissenters, they realize that there is a possibility that this was done by Russian officials.”
