Armenia to Participate in Joint Exercises with Russia, China, Iran and Other Countries
The tank and motorized infantry units of the Armenian Armed Forces will participate in the "Caucasus-2020" joint exercises alongside Russia, China, Belarus, Iran, Myanmar, Pakistan, and other countries. This was announced by Shushan stepanyan, the spokesperson for the Armenian Minister of Defense, in an interview with Armenpress.
“Armenia will participate in the ‘Caucasus-2020’ exercises. The tank and motorized infantry units of the Armenian Armed Forces will take part in the exercises,” said Stepanyan.
The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has announced that it will not participate in the exercises scheduled to take place in Russia from September 21-26. Due to the coronavirus, India will also not take part in the exercises.
Shushan Stepanyan added that in October, within the framework of the CSTO, Armenia will host the command-staff exercises “Cooperation-2020” and “Search-2020,” which are interconnected planned events.
