The Number of Births in Armenia Increased This Year

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that the number of births in Armenia has increased. In the first seven months of this year, the number of births in our republic was 19,530, compared to 19,372 during the same period last year and 19,652 in 2018. This means that the number of births has increased by 158 compared to the same period last year, while it has decreased by 122 compared to January-July 2018.

At the same time, it should be noted that the number of deaths has also increased. In January-July of this year, 17,136 people died in Armenia. According to the Statistical Committee, the number of deaths during the same period last year was 15,793, while 15,565 people died in 2018.
