We Urge 'Lidian Armenia' to Refrain from Attempts to Discredit the Work of RA Parliament Members - Samsonyan

RA NA LHK MP Ani Samsonyan writes on her Facebook page: 'The company 'Lidian Armenia' has disseminated a statement claiming that the MPs of the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction have encouraged certain illegal activities in Amulsar. The statement was accompanied by a video of the meeting of RA MPs Ani Samsonyan and Gevorg Gorgisyan with the defenders of Amulsar on September 6, at two locations.

It should be noted that RA MPs have vowed to fulfill their obligations to the people in the interest of national goals, to strengthen and promote the homeland, and to honestly perform their duties. They are committed to upholding the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Armenia.

Furthermore, according to the RA Constitution, a deputy represents the entire nation and is not bound by any imperative mandate but is guided by their conscience and convictions. We affirm that deputies are called to protect the interests of RA citizens and the supremacy of law in the country.

No organization can threaten RA citizens for defending their vital interests or fighting against potential threats to their lives and security.

No organization can demonstrate disrespect towards the RA Police.

No organization can exploit the national wealth of the Republic of Armenia, disregarding the wishes of its sole owner: the state and the people who hold its authority.

Every organization can protect its interests only in accordance with the law, while respecting the rights and freedoms of others.

Noting the above, as representatives of the primary mandate of the people's trust, we urge 'Lidian Armenia' to refrain from distorting, discrediting, and thus obstructing the work of RA parliament members. The tools of lies, deceit, and slander chosen by the company will not contribute to improving the situation.

P.S. Guided by our conscience and the belief in the long-term security of Armenia, and not short-term benefits, we state that Amulsar will remain a mountain.
