My Son is Under My Care. Ruben Khachatryan Responds to DJ Vaksina's Accusations
The former husband of DJ Vaksina and the former director of the Yerevan Zoo, Ruben Khachatryan, has addressed accusations raised by his ex-wife regarding their son through a Facebook post.
“Dear friends, I want to thank all of you for bringing my attention to the latest baseless scandal circulating online. As a rule, I do not follow the rumors spread on social networks while playing with my 5-year-old son; such unfounded and empty phenomena are outside my sphere of interest. I do not respond to nonexistent accusations; I have long developed an ability to ignore slander, and I do not wish to comment on statements made by individuals who do not know me, yet target my family. Please act according to your conscience.
To address a few counterpoints regarding the phenomenon: If the circulating rumors had any connection to reality, the matter would have moved to a legal platform, and there would have been a proper response from the authorities, at least the police. If law enforcement does not see any issue with my son spending time with his father, then any comment, especially those without a connection to reality, is slander.
I regret that certain individuals have chosen to put my private life under public scrutiny in pursuit of their own narrow interests. However, I hope that this artificially raised topic, which is being echoed by the tabloids, will not have a damaging impact on my growing and learning child. I trust that I am not the only one aware of this.
My son is completely healthy and is under my care, and the false information regarding his health is merely a manipulative weapon used by many against my family. I do not wish to discuss the legislative regulations regarding the rights of minors and the protection of parents' personal lives; I am confident that there are competent authorities dealing with this matter whom it is impossible to drag into a vortex of personal ambitions. Here, there are no separate ‘I’s; there are parents obliged to act in the interest of the child.
I do not feel it necessary to elaborate further or to give interviews on this matter. I hope that the topic will be limited to this, and I thank you for being by our side. Regardless of everything and the artificial slanders and defamations directed at me, I continue and will continue my paternal care and guardianship over my child. Nothing and no one can try to obstruct or hinder my son’s Armenian upbringing and his development as a healthy-minded and healthy-souled citizen,” wrote Ruben Khachatryan.
It should be noted that for two days now, Arusik Mkrtchyan, better known to the public as DJ Vaksina, has been alerting about issues related to her child on her Facebook page.
