Karen Demirchyan's Statue to be Erected at the Complex

The Yerevan City Council has made a decision today to amend the resolution No. 186-N of December 25, 2019, of the Yerevan City Council and allocate funds. Based on the decision No. 1128-N of July 2, 2020, by the Government of the Republic of Armenia regarding budget reallocations and additional allocations to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and the Committee on Urban Planning, changes to the budget for Yerevan city are being proposed. Specifically, it is planned to increase targeted allocations in the 2020 budget of Yerevan by 60,014.0 thousand drams, which is intended to be fully directed toward the implementation of the project for the construction of monuments dedicated to significant state and public figures, including the erection of a statue of Karen Demirchyan in the territory of the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex.
