Delegation of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Visits Artsakh
In the framework of cooperation in the defense sector between the two Armenian republics, a delegation led by Colonel Aleksandr Avetisyan, head of the Health, Social Protection, and Veteran Affairs Department of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, made a working visit to the Republic of Artsakh from September 1 to 5. The visit aimed to familiarize with the activities of military medical institutions and discuss existing issues on-site. The delegation also visited the Gegarkunik and Zangezur garrison hospitals.
During the visit to the Republic of Artsakh, meetings were organized with the commander of the Defense Army, representatives of the army leadership, and the Minister of Health of Artsakh. The activities of the newly established Department of Health, Social Protection, and Veteran Affairs of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia were presented, and issues related to the health care, social protection, pension provision, and housing support of servicemen, their family members, and war veterans were discussed.
Agreements were reached on the exchange of experiences and cooperation between the Department of Health, Social Protection, and Veteran Affairs of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia and the relevant services of Artsakh.
