Some Employees at Gloria Textile Factory Were Without Face Masks
The Health and Labor Inspection Body of Armenia has continued its oversight of compliance with the safety standards set by the government across the Republic. Following up on previously identified issues, the Inspection Body conducted a subsequent visit to the suspended Gloria textile factory in Vanadzor today.
Inspection officials noted a more favorable situation in the factory. Since the last inspection, the number of closed trash cans for personal protective equipment has increased, although there is still an insufficient quantity provided. Additionally, some employees were observed without face masks. Inspectors have prepared reports to submit to the government.
The Inspection Body is also focusing on medical organizations. Today, rural ambulatory clinics in the Armavir region were evaluated. Thanks to regular monitoring by Inspection Body specialists, along with awareness and consultation activities, no violations of anti-epidemic rules were recorded here.
Following the trails of safety violations, employees of the Inspection Body also examined pharmacies and retail trade points in the capital Yerevan, as well as in the towns of Masis, Kapan, and Sisian. Based on violations recorded during stringent inspections, suspension procedures have also continued, notably resulting in the suspension of the activities of four businesses in Syunik Province, which included one beauty salon and three retail points.
Summarizing the results of a simultaneous inspection conducted throughout the capital last Sunday, the Inspection Body has submitted a proposal for suspension to the government concerning only 18 out of the approximately 340 businesses tested. This particular Sunday inspection was unique in that, unlike previous intensified checks conducted in separate administrative regions, this time it was executed simultaneously across all of Yerevan.
The Inspection Body reiterates that adherence to the safety standards set by the government is mandatory.
