“Ruben Khachatryan has been keeping my child with him for 3 days and is preventing me from contacting them,” says DJ Vaksina

Arusik Mkrtchyan, better known as DJ Vaksina, has raised alarms in a Facebook post about her ex-husband, former director of the Yerevan Zoo, Ruben Khachatryan, allegedly hiding their young child. She stated: “Dear journalists, I am asking for your help. Please address this issue so I can return my child as soon as possible and provide proper care. Ruben Khachatryan, whom you are already familiar with, has been keeping my child with him for the past 3 days, does not answer my calls, and does not allow any contact with my child. The child was unwell yesterday, had several health issues, and was taken to the hospital by ambulance, where they were discharged after spending one hour there. The father has promised the mediator and lawyer several times that he would return the child, but has deceived them. I don’t know where the child is and in what condition. As a mother, I expect your participation and appropriate attention to this issue.”

In another post, she commented: “What to do if the so-called father brings the child back sick for the 5th time after taking them for 1-2 days? Before responding, please consider: 1. Since the child was born, the father has not been involved in their care; the care has been provided by myself or a competent nanny of my choice. 2. The child was born at 27 weeks and spent 2 months in intensive care, after which we had a very complicated period during which I continued to take care of them along with several nurses... For 4 years, there have been visits to hospitals, rehabilitation courses, and as a result, a recovered child who, nevertheless, has a low immune system and is physically more vulnerable. Now, after all this, the child has become a toy or testing ground for that man, and unfortunately, the law does not protect such children. What to do?”
