No Progress: Citizens Seeking to Travel to Russia Hold Protest Again
Citizens wishing to travel to Russia held another protest in front of the Government. The participants are demanding and pleading for the borders with Russia to be opened. It should be noted that they requested three days from the Government for a response, but protestors assure that they have not received any answer.
“There is no progress, many people have approached the government, no calls, nothing has happened, the people are waiting for a response, how long can we wait,” said one of the protest participants. In his opinion, there are simply no negotiations being held with Russia. “Negotiations are at zero, soon the state of emergency will end, there will be a quarantine, and perhaps by then they will prohibit us from demonstrating. I have relatives and friends there. This is a global issue; we are fighting for all those whose families have been divided into two parts,” the participant noted.
In addition, Armenian citizens wishing to travel to Russia conducted a car rally today in the streets of Yerevan. They had affixed placards to their vehicles: “Хочу в Россию” (I want to go to Russia), “We demand the Prime Minister's support.” The car rally ended at Republic Square, where the participants called for an assembly.
