Each Returned Book by a Reader is Quarantined: The Chief of Police Signs a New Decision

The new decision of the Chief of Police has established new security rules and, in some cases, revised rules for sectors allowed to operate during the state of emergency. With the easing of certain restrictions, libraries, museums, non-formal and continuing education, as well as the culture sector, including theatrical performances and cinema screenings, have begun to function, with the oversight of the established safety rules assigned to the Health and Labor Inspection Body of Armenia.

For libraries, it has been established that:

• Each book returned by a reader will be quarantined and will not be issued for at least 1 day.
• Visitors at reading tables will be seated ensuring at least 1.5 meters of social distance between them.

For museums, it has been established that:

• The circulation of paper informational materials among visitors must be excluded.
• The use of touch screens and other interactive means must be excluded.
• Where possible, halls should be equipped with information panels, monitors, and projections to organize contact with collections remotely and without touch.

For non-formal and continuing education institutions, it has been established that:

• Before the start of each group class, participants must have their temperature measured using a remote thermometer.
• Participants in the course are required to wear masks.

For the culture sector, it has been established that:

• Entry to the event without a mask is prohibited.
• Before the start of the event, the audience will have their temperature measured remotely at the entrance by a staff member.
• During the event, a social distance of at least 6 meters must be maintained from the stage to the audience.
