Stepantsminda-Lars Highway Open Only for Freight Transport

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that the roads within Armenia are passable.

According to information received from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia’s North Ossetia, due to the state of emergency, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open only for freight transport vehicles.

As per information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the ban on the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. However, this restriction does not apply to freight transportation.
