The Mechanism for Slandering Tsarukyan Has Exhausted, They Have Turned to Imagination: Tonoyan

The spokesperson of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), Iveta Tonoyan, wrote on her Facebook page: “Today, Ms. Lilit Makunts, the head of the My Step faction, announced that the Prosperous Armenia Party is under the influence of various forces, just as it was in 2015. Of course, Ms. Makunts has struggled to state exactly which forces she is referring to. She has struggled because there is no such thing, because she simply stated it for the sake of saying, and because the entire arsenal of the government to throw mud at Gagik Tsarukyan has already been exhausted, transitioning now to imagination and the genre of science fiction.

This statement from Ms. Makunts is particularly ridiculous because she speaks of the influence of certain forces while being a member of a political force whose representatives have close ties with the well-known Soros office and its financial sources, some have warm relations with various types of minorities, and some have previously forgotten their oaths of loyalty to other political forces and have hidden themselves within the ranks of the government.

Don’t try to tag BHK with the label of My Step. What is truly regrettable is that not a single parliament member from the entire 88-member ruling group took the opportunity to present substantive criticism regarding Gagik Tsarukyan’s statements during this period. Anyone can resort to imagination and descend to the level of personal insults; however, it is true that the upbringing and past experiences of some do not allow that, while others create ample opportunities for indulging in their absence.

It is indeed a shame that instead of addressing the thousands of existing issues, the government, in its entirety, has engaged in the clumsy act of fabricating and spreading lies about Gagik Tsarukyan and the BHK. At least now, when the whole world is preparing for a second possible wave of the coronavirus outbreak, bring your minister back from the mountains and get to work, otherwise the tragic consequences will be inevitable.”
