“Now, pediatric neurosurgery in Armenia at this center is at a level comparable to the best clinics in the world,” said Professor William Arami Khachatryan, head of the pediatric service at the Polyov Institute of Neurosurgery in Saint Petersburg, who recently visited Saint Astvatsamayr Medical Center following a surgery.

The professor noted, “Patients will receive care that meets the most modern requirements. This is indeed a major victory that not everyone can achieve. Even many leading clinics in advanced countries could not think of having such equipment.”

The new equipment includes a neurosurgical microscope, ultrasonic aspirator, high-frequency bipolar coagulator, surgical lights, state-of-the-art ultrasound diagnostic devices, skull fixators, EEG machines, low-temperature sterilizers, anesthesia machines, and surgical tables. More than ten types of modern technology will assist the medical team in saving new lives.
