“Real Heroes Stand Beside Us”: Mayor Awards Emergency Situation Employees
The Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, hosted several employees of the Emergency Situations Service on the occasion of the Day of Emergency Situations Workers. This was reported by the Yerevan municipality.
Congratulating the rescuers on their professional holiday, the mayor expressed gratitude for their responsible and dedicated work.
“Seeing the work, the dedication, and the fact of not thinking about your own life in the most difficult moment, one cannot fail to realize that at that moment, real heroes stand beside him. Rest assured that the entire municipality is always on the side of this organization. And I must say, I do not see any difference between the two departments. I consider this one unified department. We are ensuring the safety of our residents. And this cooperation and the proper organization of joint work was proven recently during the explosion on Rynisi Street. Of course, the hardest and most difficult task is yours; the part of endangering life is yours, but we too, without thinking about anything, know that we are always standing by you,” emphasized the mayor.
On the occasion of the Day of Emergency Situations Workers, the Director of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia, Vrej Gabrielyan, was awarded the Gold Medal of the Mayor of Yerevan for his active involvement in the protection of the Yerevan population, prevention of emergencies, elimination of potential consequences, and rapid responses. Several employees of the rescue service were also awarded the Certificates of Honor from the Mayor of Yerevan for their high professional preparedness and successes achieved during the performance of their official duties.
