Fines Imposed on Citizens Will Not Be Canceled After the Dissolution of the Curfew

Fines imposed on citizens will not be canceled after the dissolution of the curfew. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Justice Rafik Grigoryan in an interview with NEWS.am.

According to him, by law, the fines continue to remain effective without losing their legal power. Thus, the fines will remain in effect in accordance with the Prime Minister's decision.

However, citizens have the right to appeal these decisions in court.

It should be noted that a package of draft amendments to the law on ensuring sanitary and epidemiological safety of the population of Armenia and related laws has been discussed in the National Assembly.

The legislative initiative states that in the event of outbreaks, spread of infectious diseases, and emergencies, a quarantine may be imposed in the relevant administrative unit upon the proposal of the authorized state body in the healthcare sector, by the governor or the mayor.
