Engagement Held at My Own Restaurant: Martuni Mayor Organized Ceremony While Infected

Martuni Mayorarmen Avetisyan, while being a carrier of the coronavirus, organized his daughter's engagement ceremony.

"I was not aware that I was infected with coronavirus on the day of my daughter's engagement, but I was very cautious. The engagement was held in my own restaurant. We gathered with family—30 people in total—and celebrated the engagement," Avetisyan said in an interview with 24News.

He revealed that he received the coronavirus test result just a day after the engagement ceremony, and prior to that, he had not experienced any symptoms. "The engagement was on Friday, and I received the test result on Saturday. I also 'infected' the rest of my household on Monday," the mayor mentioned, adding that family members have also contracted the virus.

Avetisyan emphasized that he only experienced a fever on Friday, but the engagement ceremony was already scheduled, and relatives were gathered.

It should be noted that the Martuni City Hall is now closed due to Armen Avetisyan's coronavirus infection.
