The Percentage of Methanol in Vodka Exceeds Permissible Limits Multiple Times

On September 1, officials from the Food Safety Inspection Body collected samples from a confiscated batch of vodka, which was linked to the deaths of 14 individuals, for laboratory testing. The examination confirmed the preliminary hypothesis related to poisoning symptoms, indicating that the vodka contained methanol, with levels far exceeding the maximum allowable limits established by the EAEU regulations.

The Food Safety Inspection Body once again urges citizens to refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages of unknown origin and reminds that the circulation of such drinks is prohibited.
