VIDEO: "Protesters are Threatening and Provoking" - Statement from Lydian Armenia

“Lydian Armenia” continues to express concern for the safety of the community and the disproportionate actions of the police. This was stated in a press release from the company.

“While the residents of the community are working in the Amulsar area, for two years, a ‘peaceful’ protester acting on behalf of the ‘community’ threw stones at Lydian employees yesterday, attempting to invade the area with the help of several lawbreakers. The day before, the same individual made threats of bloodshed.

We are once again compelled to urge the police to take appropriate measures to restore law and order in the surrounding communities of Amulsar and to ensure the safety of the residents. At the same time, we reaffirm that Lydian will not engage in any ‘negotiation’ outside of the law.

We leave it to the public to judge the behavior of the individual who has taken on the role of the ‘community spokesperson’ in the press for the past two years. We demand that the police take action to ensure the real safety of the community.”
