The HFFC Has Submitted a Petition Regarding the Incident Involving the Malakyan Brothers

The President of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA), Armen Melikbekyan, has addressed relevant officials expressing his concern regarding the incident involving Edgar and Gor Malakyan and representatives of law enforcement agencies, which occurred in the center of Yerevan on August 30, 2020, as reported by the FFA press service.

In his letter, the FFA President anticipates an impartial investigation into the incident and requests that the competent officials consider the possibility of applying alternative measures to detention that do not involve deprivation of freedom for the Malakyan brothers.

Responsible officials of the Football Federation of Armenia have also expressed their willingness to act as personal guarantors. Earlier, the lawyer of the Malakyan brothers, Gor Mikayelyan, stated that the football player brothers have been charged in connection with the incident that took place in the Cascade on August 30. The lawyer also published photographs of the injured football players.
