Niva Plunged into Gorge from 130 Meters: Casualties Reported

On September 2, a tragic car accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 8:00 PM, the driver of a ВАЗ 2121 vehicle with the license plate 79 VR 999 lost control in a winding section of the gorge in the administrative area of Karbi village. Under still unknown circumstances, the car veered off the road and plummeted approximately 130 meters into the gorge near the "Avangard" leisure zone, as reported by Shamshyan.com.

As a result of the accident, two individuals have died, and three others, including a child, have been transported to the hospital. Bystanders at the "Avangard" leisure zone were the first to provide assistance to the injured, before the rapid response team from the Emergency Situations Ministry’s Aragatsotn Regional Rescue Department arrived promptly with one firefighting unit. The deceased and injured were found outside the vehicle.
