Military Exercises to Be Announced in Armenia from September 15 to December 15

In the Republic of Armenia, it is planned to announce military exercises for reservists registered in the first group of the first category, including soldiers, non-commissioned officers, and officers, for a duration of three months from September 15 to December 15, 2020. This decision is included in the agenda of the government meeting scheduled for September 3.

The military exercises are being announced for the improvement of military capabilities of citizens registered in the reserve: 1) Military skills enhancement, 2) Professional development, 3) Professional preparation, 4) Training of reserve officers from among the non-commissioned personnel with higher education.

A total of 786 citizens will be involved in the exercises, including 524 from the enlisted corps, 82 from the non-commissioned corps, and 180 from the officer reserve.

The draft specifies that the following reservists will be engaged: 1) In motorized infantry specialties - 36 reservists from September 15-24, 2020; 18 reservists from October 1-10, 2020; 18 reservists from October 6-15, 2020; 18 reservists from October 20-29, 2020; and 21 reservists from November 16-25, 2020. 2) In missile and artillery specialties - 31 reservists from October 19-28, 2020; 132 reservists from November 3-12, 2020; and 145 reservists from November 9-18, 2020. 3) In air defense specialties - 5 reservists from October 12-21, 2020; and 8 reservists from November 23-29, 2020. 4) In communication specialties - 71 reservists from November 20-29, 2020. 5) In reconnaissance specialties - 6 reservists from September 15-24, 2020; 14 reservists from September 25 to October 4, 2020; 57 reservists from October 20-29, 2020; and 72 reservists from November 17-26, 2020. 6) In electronic warfare specialties - 14 reservists from September 23-29, 2020. 7) In engineering specialties - 24 reservists from October 26 to November 1, 2020. 8) In technical specialties - 27 reservists from September 22-28, 2020; and 40 reservists from September 29 to October 5, 2020. 9) In rear services specialties - 22 reservists from October 5-11, 2020. 10) In cartographic specialties - 7 reservists from September 28 to October 7, 2020.

This decision will enter into force on the tenth day following its official publication.
