Mikayel Melkumyan: 180 More Bottles of Illegal Vodka Sold - This is a Disgrace

MP Mikayel Melkumyan from the Prosperous Armenia faction shared a post on his Facebook page regarding the activities of an illegal vodka seller in Armavir, which has resulted in the deaths of 11 people.

“I learned with sadness and deep concern that eleven of our compatriots have died from vodka poisoning. First, I extend my condolences to the relatives, friends, and family of the deceased. I also learned that another 180 bottles of this vodka have been sold. This is a disgraceful phenomenon. The person who sold this deadly vodka did not do it secretly and has been engaged in this activity for years. Now, who is responsible for these deaths? Don't the food safety service, the local municipality, or other state structures have a role to play here? I reiterate, we are talking about the deaths of eleven citizens. Can a person be so defenseless in our country, and if so, what does that mean? Should we tolerate this situation? This speaks to a total disregard for state and community governance and oversight. This situation must be corrected very quickly. Unfortunately, the sad consequences of such situations usually rest on the shoulders of the deceased's families and relatives. We must overcome this indifference rapidly.”
