Investigation Launched into Explosion Accident in Lori Province; One Hospitalized

Authorities are preparing documents for an investigation into an explosion incident that occurred in Lori Province. This information was reported by shamshyan.com.

On August 31, around 22:50, the Alaverdi Medical Center notified the police department in Tumanyan that a citizen had been admitted with injuries diagnosed as "injuries to the right palm, left thigh, and facial area." Upon responding to the hospital, police officers determined that the injured individual was 71-year-old Vardan B. from the town of Akhtala.

Vardan reported that while working with an unknown object at their home, an explosion occurred, resulting in his injuries. The Tumanyan police later discovered that on the same day, around 20:30, while sorting through old items in the basement of their home in the village of Jiliza, Vardan noticed a metal round object belonging to his deceased father, Vasil B., which had been left in the house since his father's lifetime. Driven by curiosity, Vardan had attempted to dismantle the metal cap of this object, leading to the explosion and resulting in his aforementioned physical injuries.

During the investigation, forensic and chemical examinations have been scheduled by the investigator.
