Man Cuts Off His Niece's Fingers in Fit of Rage Over Dropped Phone

A man has been arrested in Ulan-Ude, Russia, after he cut off his niece's fingers during a fit of rage. The incident occurred on August 31, when a 5-year-old girl accompanied her father and uncle to a field for haymaking.

In the afternoon, as rain fell, the adults sought shelter in the forest and began drinking alcohol. At one point, the uncle gave his phone to the girl to keep her occupied and prevent her from interfering with the adults.

However, at some moment, the girl accidentally dropped the phone and damaged it. In a violent outburst, the uncle forced her to place her hands on the stump and, using a knife, cut off two of her fingers.

The perpetrator then fled into the forest, while the girl's father took her to the hospital, where doctors were able to reattach one of the fingers. That night, the uncle returned to the scene of the incident, where he was subsequently arrested.
