Gas Leak and Fire Erupts in Apartment in Yerevan
On September 1, at 13:32, the Crisis Management National Center received a call regarding a gas leak accompanied by a fire in the entrance of the 6th floor of building 73 on Raffi Street in Yerevan. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
A fire and rescue unit from the Yerevan Rescue Department was deployed to the scene. It was determined that a gas leak had occurred from a (3 kg) gas cylinder, resulting in a fire outbreak.
The fire was extinguished by 13:50. The gas that leaked from the cylinder had burned. Rescuers moved the gas cylinder to a safe location and ensured monitoring until all the gas was completely discharged.
