COVID-19 Vaccination to Start in Moscow on September 5
Vaccination against COVID-19 will begin from September 5 to 7 as part of the post-registration trials for the vaccine. According to the TASS agency, this was announced on Tuesday by Alexander Gintsburg, the head of the Gamaleya Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology.
"The post-registration phase has already started, and on September 3-4, the vaccine will be distributed to polyclinics in Moscow. Initially, it will be supplied to 7 polyclinics, with a total of 40,000 people expected to participate in the trials. Probably, 15-20 polyclinics will be included. Injections are likely to begin on the 5th to 7th," said Gintsburg.
He added that volunteers will undergo tests before vaccination, after which they may receive the injection a few days later.
It is worth reminding that the Russian vaccine against COVID-19, which is the first in the world, was registered on August 11.
