Business Activities of Organizers of Mass Events Suspended
Today, the State Service for Food Safety of Armenia notified several businesses operating in the food sector of the Republic about the suspension decisions taken against them for previously violating the rules set by the Armenian Prime Minister.
Days ago, we reported that mass gatherings, including weddings, were held at the 'Dvin' Hotel's 'Music Hall' and 'VSV' wedding hall, with participant numbers exceeding the 40-person limit established by the Prime Minister's decision. Following these two events, inspectors from the SSFS created reports based on which the activities of these businesses were suspended for 24 hours.
Suspensions also occurred in the provinces. Today's extensive monitoring by SSFS specialists recorded a variety of violations in the food supply chain organizations across the Republic, such as incomplete entries in disinfection and temperature measurement logs, not all required places having closed trash containers and disinfectants, and certain public dining points not measuring customer temperatures. SSFS will submit suspension requests for those establishments to the Prime Minister's office.
Monitoring activities will continue. Representatives of the inspection authority provided instructions and consultations for eliminating violations, assuring that inspections and follow-up visits will occur, including surprise checks.
