Awards at the Artsakh Defense Army

In anticipation of the Republic of Artsakh's anniversary, I have today awarded high honors to notable contributors in the defense and other sectors of our country. This was stated by the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, on his Facebook page.

He specifically wrote: "Dear compatriots,

In anticipation of the Republic of Artsakh's anniversary, I have today awarded high honors to notable contributors in the defense and other sectors of our country. Among these individuals were servicemen Karen Shakharyan, Karen Arstamyan, and Samvel Poghosyan, who were awarded the military rank of Major General. I would also like to include the legendary commander Hayk Sargsyan, who was awarded the 'Battle Cross' of the 1st degree, and is one of the pioneers of the victories achieved in the Artsakh war and the further efforts in army building.

They embody the heroic figures of the boys ensuring the peace of our Homeland, whose experience and knowledge will continue to serve the strengthening of the military and statehood for a long time to come. I am proud!"
