Turkey's Defense Minister Criticizes Greece for Military Exercises
Turkey's Defense Minister Hulusi Akar has criticized Greece for conducting military exercises in the Mediterranean, stating that such exercises and actions cannot disrupt the capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces or alter their plans. This was reported by Ermenihaber.
Akar reiterated that they advocate for amicable relations and are open to dialogue but will never relinquish their 'rights.'
The Defense Minister expressed readiness to host the Greek side in Turkey if they wish. He remarked, 'We demand our rights, provided we remain within our borders. On the other hand, we are not prepared to concede even a drop of water and will not allow our rights to be infringed.'
He also expressed dissatisfaction that in response to their 'peaceful' seismic research, the Greeks are conducting military drills and sending warships and military aircraft.
