I Am Returning: Saakashvili Announces Plans to Come Back to Georgia

The third President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, has released a new video on his Facebook page, where he discusses his activities and future plans.

Saakashvili notably mentions that the past 7 years have given him the opportunity to reflect and reassess many issues. According to the former president, he now knows better how to serve his country and avoid problems.

"Of course there were many mistakes, some of significant proportions, yet God is my witness that I wanted the best for my people... After all these years, I want to publicly apologize for the mistakes I made, for the deeds I did not complete to the end," Saakashvili states in his speech.

He also emphasizes that throughout the last 7 years, there hasn't been a single day he hasn’t been interested in the events in Georgia. "When I hear the news from Georgia, I understand clearly that we can live much better, more prosperously, and every Georgian can be wealthy, and we will be able to achieve this. I am returning," he concludes his remarks.
