Video Released by Ministry of Emergency Situations on Explosion on Rainisi Street

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has released a video from the explosion that occurred on Rainisi Street. It is reminded that on August 26, at 07:18 AM, the National Crisis Management Center received a call reporting an explosion due to a gas leak at 3 Rainisi Street, leading to a partial collapse of the building.

Emergency responders from five fire and rescue units of the City of Yerevan, one aerial ladder, two rescue and canine teams from the Special Rescue Operations Center, operational and medical support teams from the National Crisis Management Center, and a psychologist from the Psychological Support Department were dispatched to the scene.

According to preliminary data, two citizens have been retrieved from the rubble, and 19 citizens have been evacuated. Two injured individuals have been hospitalized at the Heratsi Hospital Complex No. 1. One victim, Svetlana S. (born in 1949), is currently undergoing examination, with doctors assessing her health condition as moderately serious, while the condition of the other male victim, approximately 50 years old, is assessed as extremely serious.

It has been determined that the explosion occurred in a four-story panel building at 1 Rainisi Street. The canine unit is conducting search and rescue operations.
