VIDEO: Killed His Relative and Hanged Himself Two Days Later

On April 16, at 16:40, a report was received at the Erebuyn police station about a man's body found in one of the houses on 26th street in Nor Arech. Operational-investigative groups, forensic experts, and coroners were dispatched to the scene. The body of a 62-year-old man was examined; his nose was broken, and he had cranio-cerebral injuries. The solitary resident had been murdered.

The man's daughter discovered the body. She had been repeatedly calling her father, but he did not answer his phone, so she went to check on him and found him deceased.

Erebuyn's criminal investigators began implementing operational measures. They identified the individuals with whom the victim might have had disagreements and also determined the nature of these disputes. A suspect in committing the crime emerged in the police’s view.

It was also necessary to ascertain whether there were any witnesses to the incident; if so, who they were. This was accomplished, and months after the incident, on August 23, the particularly serious crime was solved. The suspect in the crime had committed suicide two days after the incident on April 18. The body of the 59-year-old man was found in a semi-constructed building on Arin-Berd street, hanging from a pillar with a rope.

The two men were relatives who had had disagreements related to the house. During another clarification, the 59-year-old man struck the 62-year-old man on the head with a blunt object, causing death, after which he hanged himself on April 18.

The information presented has been substantiated through operational investigative measures and investigative actions. The preliminary investigation of the criminal case and measures to discover the instruments of the crime are ongoing.
