Oleg Navalny Accuses Chief Doctor of Omsk Hospital of Being 'Bought' and Deceiving the World

Russian opposition figure Alexey Navalny’s brother, Oleg Navalny, announced on his Facebook page that the chief doctor of Omsk hospital, where his brother was transferred due to a sudden deterioration in health, obstructed the diagnosis and the process of transferring him to a German hospital.

“Today, several healthcare workers organized a splendid press conference in Omsk. It was particularly unpleasant to hear the chief doctor state that he hadn’t even been given a ‘thank you’. That is certainly not true. He has probably received thanks from various agencies for organizing the process to keep Alexey there for a longer time,” wrote the opposition figure's relative.

According to him, one hour before receiving permission for the transfer, the chief doctor personally stated that the patient was “not in a condition for transfer.” It is noted that he exerted pressure on the other doctors to also confirm this “thesis.”

Moreover, Oleg Navalny assured that the doctor obstructed the communication of the patient’s relatives with the German doctors who arrived at the Omsk hospital. “He has shamelessly deceived the whole world, claiming that the diagnosis is a metabolic disorder and that poisoning is excluded. There is nothing more disgusting than people putting others' lives at risk for their own chair,” he emphasized, while also thanking the pilots who swiftly landed the plane in Omsk, the emergency medical staff who transported the patient to the hospital, and the medical teams in Moscow and Omsk who saved his brother's life. “And, of course, immense gratitude to all those who helped to exert pressure on the authorities and organize the patient's exit from the country,” concluded the opposition figure's brother.

As previously reported, doctors at the Berlin hospital have confirmed that Alexey Navalny was poisoned. It has been noted that Navalny, who is receiving treatment at Berlin's Charité hospital, remains in an induced coma. Traces of poisoning (intoxication) have been found in his blood, and potential impacts on the nervous system are not excluded. Doctors report that there is currently no acute danger to Navalny's life.

Recall that Russian opposition figure Alexey Navalny’s health deteriorated while returning from Tomsk to Moscow. The plane made an emergency landing in Omsk, and Navalny was transported to the hospital by ambulance on suspicion of poisoning. It was also reported that Navalny drank black tea at a café in Tomsk Airport, where an internal investigation is underway.
