Analysis of Navalny's Health by Russian and German Doctors Coincides, Peskov Says

Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny's health analysis by Russian and German doctors coincides, stated Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of Russia, according to ria.ru.

According to him, the fact of low cholinesterase was confirmed by Russian doctors at the Omsk hospital in the first hours, and atropine, which is now being discussed and used by German specialists, began to be administered in the first hours of the patient’s stay in the intensive care unit. However, the cause of the decrease in cholinesterase levels has yet to be determined, as the analyses do not indicate a specific substance.

“Thus, you can probably clearly understand that the medical analyses absolutely coincide both with our doctors and with the Germans, but the conclusions are different,” said Peskov.

As previously reported, doctors at a Berlin hospital confirmed that Alexei Navalny had been poisoned. It was noted that Navalny, who is receiving treatment at the Berlin Charité hospital, remains in an induced coma. Traces of poisoning (intoxication) have been found in his blood, and the effects on the nervous system are not ruled out.

Doctors report that at present, there is no acute danger to Navalny's life. According to Russian doctors, the main working diagnosis has been a metabolic disorder that led to a sharp drop in blood sugar.

It’s worth reminding that Alexei Navalny's condition worsened while returning from Tomsk to Moscow. The plane made an emergency landing in Omsk, and Navalny was transported to the hospital by ambulance on suspicion of poisoning. It was also reported that Navalny had drunk black tea at the Tomsk airport café, where an internal investigation is underway.
