Germany Sends Plane to Transport Russian Opposition Leader Navalny

A plane has been dispatched by the German side to transport Russian opposition leader and blogger Alexei Navalny from the intensive care unit of a hospital in Omsk to the Federal Republic of Germany for medical treatment. This was reported by Bild, citing its own sources.

According to the publication, the plane took off from Nuremberg to Omsk with specialists on board. Navalny could be moved either at noon or early in the evening.

The flight has been organized by the Cinema for Peace human rights foundation.
