Turkish Websites Reveal Details on the Murder of Azerbaijani 'Thief by Law' Killed in Antalya

Turkish Sozcu newspaper has provided several details regarding the murder of the Azerbaijani 'thief by law' known as Nadir Salifov, also referred to as 'Lotu Guli.'

According to Sozcu, Nadir Salifov is suspected of having killed Azerbaijani criminal authority Rovshan Janiyev, who was shot with 65 bullets in Istanbul. An interesting coincidence is that Rovshan was killed on August 18, and Nadir on August 19, which deepened these suspicions significantly.

Salifov has previously survived two assassination attempts, both of which were thwarted by the police. Once, an attack against him was planned in a shopping center, but Turkish law enforcement intervened and arrested 13 people, including 2 Azerbaijanis.

The investigation revealed that the Azerbaijanis had met with members of a Turkish criminal organization to plan Salifov's murder for a price of 5 million dollars. Allegedly, the order for Salifov's assassination came from Rovshan Janiyev's brother.

In 2018, Salifov contacted Russian businessmen through the internet and demanded monthly payments from them. After this information became public, Salifov was deported from Turkey, but he illegally re-entered the country in 2020.

The second assassination contract was taken by a Georgian criminal authority named Guram Chikladze. However, law enforcement also prevented this attempt, arresting both Azerbaijanis and Georgians.

It is noteworthy that Nadir Salifov was killed while having a meal in Antalya.
