VIDEO: 'Thief in Law' 'Ufa Gevork' Detained

On August 19, officers from the Main Directorate of Criminal Police, having acted on operational information obtained through various measures, discovered and detained Gevorg Grigoryan, known by the nickname 'Ufa Gevork', a so-called 'Thief in Law', at a cafe in the Arabkir administrative district.

The 39-year-old Grigoryan had been wanted by law enforcement in the Republic of Bashkortostan on an inter-state and international level for occupying a high position in the criminal hierarchy established by Russian criminal law, with the precautionary measure being detention.

Gevorg Grigoryan has been arrested and transferred to the detention facility of the Criminal Police.
