Lukashenko Appeals to Putin
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has requested Vladimir Putin to convey a message to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, urging Germany to refrain from interfering in Belarus's internal affairs. This was announced by Lukashenko's press secretary, Natalia Eismont, during a broadcast on Russia-1 television.
“Our country's president has asked his Russian counterpart to inform Ms. Merkel that Germany, and indeed all of Western Europe, should not meddle in Belarus's internal matters that are currently taking place,” she added.
