Video: Dozens of Trucks from the Russian National Guard Head Towards Belarus

On August 16, several dozen trucks of the Russian National Guard, characterized as "Ural" and "KamAZ" models, were spotted on the E95 and M1 highways moving towards the Belarusian border without license plates or distinguishing marks. This information was reported by the Conflict Intelligence Team.

According to a source from Fontanka, around 30-40 trucks and several military off-road vehicles were headed towards a destination with personnel onboard, between Saint Petersburg and Pskov. CIT estimates that there could be at least 600 fighters in these vehicles.

The Western Military District informed the media that the displayed samples of equipment are not being used by the forces in the region. Meduza also reported that vehicles without insignias have been observed on the Moscow-Minsk road.

One of the videos was filmed in Moscow, while the second one was taken on the M1 highway. The footage of these vehicles was also released by journalist Vasily Maksimov. According to CIT, this video was shot 83 km away from the border with Belarus.

It is worth noting that protests have continued in Belarus since the presidential elections held on August 9, where current President Alexander Lukashenko was declared the winner, leading participants to express dissatisfaction with the election results. Official data indicates that over 6,700 people were arrested in the initial days of the protests. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic, hundreds of people were injured during the unrest, including more than 120 law enforcement officers, and one protester was killed.
