White House Comments on Rumors of Possible Meeting Between Putin and Trump
The U.S. administration is not planning a meeting between the presidents of the U.S. and Russia before the presidential elections. This was announced on television by the president's national security adviser, Robert O'Brien.
“We do not have a meeting planned with Vladimir Putin before the elections, but we would be happy if one day Putin came here to sign a arms control treaty,” the official stated.
Earlier, NBC News reported that according to White House representatives, Trump had expressed a desire to meet with Putin before the presidential elections scheduled for November in the U.S.
