Opel Vectra Rolls 15 Meters Down in Syunik Region; Casualty Reported

On August 15 at 19:09, the Emergency Crisis Management Center received a report of a traffic accident at the crossroads in the village of Ajanan. A firefighting and rescue team from the Syunik Regional Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that at the 12th kilometer of the Kapan-Ajanan road, an Opel Vectra vehicle (driver: Rafik B., born in 1993) veered off the roadway and rolled approximately 15 meters down a gorge. Before rescuers arrived, the passenger (Hovhannes B., born in 1992) was hospitalized at Kapan Medical Center, where doctors assessed his condition as satisfactory.

The rescuers disabled the vehicle's power and closed the gas cylinder valve.
