No Exemptions Will Be Granted: Minister Romanos Petrosyan Expresses Discontent with Dilijan National Park Operations

Minister Romanos Petrosyan held a working meeting-discussion with the staff of the Dilijan National Park and expressed his dissatisfaction with the quality of the park's operations. This was reported by the minister's spokesperson, David Grigoryan.

The national park is obligated to be vigilant and address issues related to land problems, delineations, and the elimination of illegal construction and development activities in the areas of the Yerevan-Tbilisi interstate highway's Dilijan bends in the short term, through operational measures and direct intervention.

The restoration of the rule of law is a primary issue that Minister Petrosyan set before the staff of the national park. He assured that there are no exemptions and there cannot be any who would have the right to arbitrarily use national wealth for personal, narrow interests.

According to the minister, forests must remain inviolable, and any violation that harms the environment and nature must be punished. The Minister of Environment has called for the protection of the specially protected areas under the jurisdiction of the Dilijan National Park and the formation of a team-oriented and united working style.
