Fireworks Held in the Yard of Armenia Medical Center Maternity Hospital, Resulting in Penalties
The police have fined several citizens in the capital who conducted fireworks. This information has been reported by the Police of Armenia.
The law does not prohibit fireworks but forbids them during nighttime hours when it is crucial to strictly maintain the rules of cohabitation, showing consideration for the surrounding individuals.
The Administrative Violations Code stipulates administrative sanctions for using pyrotechnic products during nighttime, between 11 PM and 7 AM, with fines ranging from 100,000 to 1 million drams.
The foundation of the police’s campaign is not merely the threat of fines but rather raising the level of legal awareness among the population. We should not disturb nighttime peace with noisy fireworks, not just to avoid fines, but to prevent discomfort for the elderly, young children, and those with health issues.
Undoubtedly, the persuasion method is yielding results; however, violations of silence regulations are still being recorded. To prevent and identify such incidents, the police conduct intensified monitoring every night.
Let’s outline a few cases discovered in recent days. During the nighttime patrol service on August 8, police officers from the patrol service responded quickly and found two individuals conducting fireworks. One of them was performing fireworks in the yard of the Armenia Medical Center maternity hospital. The 29-year-old man was subjected to administrative responsibility by the Mashtots Police Department.
The other person, a 39-year-old man, was conducting fireworks on Komitas Avenue. He was also fined.
On the night of August 12, police officers from the patrol service, responding quickly to a call in the Malatia-Sebastia area, discovered a young man conducting fireworks at the end of Gagarin Street, who was presented to the Malatia Police Department and held administratively responsible.
We once again urge and request not to conduct fireworks during nighttime and to strictly adhere to the rules of coexistence.
